James Randolph

James Randolph is a judge of the 19C Judicial District in North Carolina.[1] He was elected on November 4, 2014, to a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[2]

Randolph ran for election to the 19C Judicial District.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 32.2 percent of the vote. He competed against Douglas A. Smith and Ted Blanton.
General: He defeated Ted Blanton in the general election on November 4, 2014, receiving 52.4 percent of the vote.

Judicial performance evaluation
In July 2014, the North Carolina Bar Association released the results of a survey in which it asked lawyers to rate the judicial candidates for the trial courts. The candidates were rated from one to five on five different criteria as well as on their overall performance.[4]

Education
Randolph received his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law.[5]
Career
Randolph has been an attorney since 1990. He practiced with Kluttz, Reamer, Hayes, Randolph, Adkins & Carter, LLP at the time of his election to the bench.[6]
