Ted Blanton was a judge and a 2014 candidate for the 19C Judicial District in North Carolina. He served on this court from 1994 to 2002.[1]

Blanton ran for election to the 19C Judicial District.
Primary: He was successful in the primary on May 6, 2014, receiving 49.4 percent of the vote. He competed against Douglas A. Smith and James Randolph.
General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 47.6 percent of the vote. He competed against James Randolph. [2][3] 

Judicial performance evaluation

In July 2014, the North Carolina Bar Association released the results of a survey in which it asked lawyers to rate the judicial candidates for the trial courts. The candidates were rated from one to five on five different criteria as well as on their overall performance.[4]
