Campaign themes
2016
Lojewski's campaign website highlighted the following issues:
“ |
Budget The less we spend, the easier it is to fix We need a state government we can afford and one that is sustainable without unnecessarily burdening the private economy. Oil Tax Credits Lets Fix it Let's institute a test for all new oil tax credits. The credits ought to provide an expected rate of return to the State of Alaska that is greater than the expected rate of return of the Permanent Fund. Without this test we risk wasting Alaska's wealth on corporate welfare. Permanent Fund Dividend Don't take it away A recent estimate by economists at the University of Alaska shows that cutting the dividend would be the single most harmful way to fill the budget deficit with respects to Alaskan's income.[1] |
