Five property tax levy ballot questions and one bond issue question were on the August 6, 2013, election ballot in Adams County, which is in Washington. The tax levy measures were approved but the hospital bond measure was defeated.
Each of these measures required a 60% approval rating to pass.[1]
Tax Levies:
- Fire Protection District #7: Maintenance and Operation Levy - $20,000 per year for 2 years (approx. $0.47 per $1,000 assessed valuation)
- Park and Recreation District #3 - Lind: Maintenance and Operation Levy - $59,000 for 1 year (approx. $0.25 per $1,000 assessed valuation)
- Park and Recreation District #4 - Ritzville: Maintenance and Operation Levy - $90,000 for 1 year (approx. $0.29 per $1,000 assessed valuation)
- Park and Recreation District #2 - Washtucna: Maintenance and Operation Levy - $45,500 for 1 year (approx. $1.08 per $1,000 assessed valuation)
- Cemetery District 1 - Washtucna: Maintenance and Operation Levy - $7,500 for 1 year (approx. $0.26 per $1,000 assesssed valuation)[2]
Bond issue:
- Hospital District #2 - EARH: Bonds to Construct a New Hospital/Clinic - $10,000,000 to be repaid over 30 years[2]
