Elections for the Oregon State Senate took place in 2016. A special election was held on November 8, 2016, for state Senate District 3 after the death of Alan Bates (D). Candidates were nominated by their parties rather than through primaries. Kevin Talbert (D) was named as Bates' interim replacement.
Alan DeBoer defeated Tonia Moro in the Oregon State Senate District 3 general election.[1][2]

Elections for the Oregon House of Representatives took place in 2016. The primary election took place on May 17, 2016, and the general election was held on November 8, 2016. The candidate filing deadline was March 8, 2016. Incumbent Peter Buckley (D) did not seek re-election. Steve Richie replaced Alan DeBoer on the ballot after the primary election.
