Allen Luttrell
Allen Luttrell is the former commissioner of natural resources of Kentucky. He was appointed to the nonpartisan position by Kentucky Secretary of Energy and Environment Charles Snavely on January 11, 2016.[1] He resigned from office on January 4, 2018.[2]
Biography
A graduate of Southeast Community College with degrees in business and mining technology, Luttrell had more than 35 years of experience in the mining industry at the time of his appointment as commissioner of natural resources. Before being named to his position as commissioner of natural resources, Luttrell had served as director of mine permits and deputy commissioner of natural resources.[1]

Luttrell was appointed to the position of commissioner of natural resources on January 11, 2016, by Kentucky Secretary of Energy and Environment Charles Snavely. Luttrell replaced former commissioner Steve Hohmann, who retired in November 2015.[1] Luttrell resigned on January 4, 2018, for personal reasons.[3]
Personal life
Luttrell lives in Lawrenceburg with his wife Tammy.[1]
