The Judicial Update

July 21, 2012

Kansas: This week, a retirement and an appointment were announced in Kansas. Governor Sam Brownback appointed John F. Bosch, owner of the Bosch Law Office, P.A., to the 21st Judicial District Court. There he will replace retired Judge Paul E. Miller as judge of Clay and Riley counties. Bosch is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law.[1]

Longtime magistrate judge Barbara Stites has announced her retirement. She has served in this position on the 17th Judicial District (Graham County) for 13 years. The 65-year-old is planning to spend more time with her family. The retirement will go into effect in early 2013, which will allow for her successor to be chosen in the 2012 elections.[2]
