Andrew Nastoff was a judge on the Butler County Court of Common Pleas in Hamilton, Ohio. He was appointed to the court by former Governor Bob Taft and assumed office on January 12, 2005.[1] Nastoff was elected to the court on November 2008 and his current term was to have expired on December 31, 2014, but he resigned from the court on August 2, 2013.[2][3][4]

Education

Nastoff received his undergraduate degree from Youngstown State University in 1988 and his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1991.[1]

Career

Immediately prior to joining the Court of Common Pleas, Nastoff had served as an acting judge for the Fairfield County Municipal Court since January of 2001. Before becoming a judge, Nastoff worked in private practice with a focus on criminal litigation and served as both an assistant prosecuting attorney for Butler County, Ohio and an assistant law director for the City of Hamilton, Ohio. He has also served as both a military prosecutor with the United States Army J.A.G. Corps in Fort Riley, Kansas and as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for the District of Kansas while on active military duty for four years.[1]
