Noteworthy cases
Moreno no-contact
Pinkus drew criticism in July 2015 for denying a no-contact order against Tony Moreno a week before Moreno allegedly threw his 7-month-old child into the Connecticut River. Moreno then jumped from the bridge himself when authorities arrived at the scene. A transcript from the hearing shows Pinkus criticized Moreno and Adrianna Oyola, the child's mother, for "acting like children." He denied the order, saying that there was no evidence of "imminent harm."[3]
