Three of the five seats on the Madison County Schools Board of Education were up for by-district general election on November 8, 2016. In District 1, Samantha Burford defeated incumbent John Lackey. District 2 incumbent Becky Coyle and District 5 incumbent Beth Brock were running unopposed and won re-election to their seats.[1]

Coyle reported no contributions or expenditures to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance as of October 25, 2016.[2]
