Aho ran for election to the Fourth Judicial District.
Primary: She was successful in the primary on August 12, 2014, receiving 31.6 percent of the vote. She competed against Steven E. Antolak, Mark E. Arneson, Jean M. Brandl and Amy Dawson.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 45.7 percent of the vote. She competed against Amy Dawson.

Aho received a B.A. in chemistry and computation mathematics from Albion College, a J.D. from Hamline University School of Law, and an M.B.A. from the University of Minnesota.[3]

Aho is an attorney with the James H. Gilbert Law Group, PLLC.[3]
