Brewer Advisory Committee Creation Referendum (November 2009)
The Brewer Advisory Committee Creation Referendum was on the November 3 ballot in Penobscot County for voters in the city of Brewer.
The referendum sought to create an advisory committee in the hopes that it would be the main force in identifying ways for the city to save money. The ballot questions specifically asked residents if a council should be created to work with neighbor city Bangor in identifying ways both cities can work together in order to achieve savings and efficiencies in their respective city operations. Bangor has already approved its side of the deal.[1]
