Bruce Williams (Alabama)
Bruce E. Williams was the presiding judge of Circuit 23 in Madison County, Alabama.[1] He joined this court in February of 1996 and became the presiding Madison County circuit judge in January of 2004.[2] Williams retired from the court on June 30, 2011.[3]
Education
Judge Williams received his B.A. degree from Auburn University and his J.D. degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.[2]
Career
Judge Williams was admitted to the practice of law on November 15, 1974.[4] He then worked as a private practice lawyer for 20 years before becoming a judge. During this time, he became a partner in the law firm Stephens, Millirons, Harrison, and Williams in Huntsville, Alabama. He then judged on the District Court for a short time before moving on to the circuit court in 1996.[2]
