Carolyn Jones was an at-large member of the Cincinnati Board of Education in Ohio. Jones assumed office in 2015. Jones left office on December 31, 2023.
Jones ran for re-election for an at-large seat of the Cincinnati Board of Education in Ohio. Jones won in the general election on November 5, 2019.
Biography
Jones works as a mental health professional. She previously served on the North College Hill City School Board and was involved in the Ohio School Board Association's Black Caucus Committee. She also served on the Cincinnati Human Services Committee. Jones obtained a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of Cincinnati. She went on to earn a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from the same school.[1]

Opposition
Three of the seven seats on the Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education were up for election on November 3, 2015. All members represent the district at-large.
Incumbents Chris Nelms and Eve Bolton won re-election to their seats. Carolyn Jones won the third seat up for election. Incumbent Alexander Kuhns originally filed to run in the race but withdrew after accepting a new job.[2][3][4]
