Chance D. Munroe is a dedicated community leader committed to strengthening Lee County through responsible leadership, economic development, and strong community partnerships.
Chance currently serves as the Executive Director of The Next Picture Show Community Fine Arts Center in Dixon, where he works to promote the arts, support regional artists, and bring cultural opportunities to residents across the Sauk Valley. Through exhibitions, community events, and educational programming, he helps ensure the arts remain an important part of the region’s identity.
Previously, Chance served as Executive Director of the Oregon Area Chamber of Commerce, where he worked closely with local businesses and community leaders to support economic growth and community development.
Chance is also pursuing his Master’s degree at Northern Illinois University, continuing to expand his knowledge in leadership and community development.
Through his nonprofit leadership and community involvement, Chance understands the importance of fiscal responsibility, transparent government, and practical solutions that serve the residents of Lee County. As a candidate for Lee County Board District 3, he is committed to supporting responsible county government, strengthening local communities, and ensuring Lee County remains a great place to live, work, and raise a family.- Keeping Lee County Comfortable and Affordable Lee County should remain a place where families can live comfortably, build their futures, and feel proud to call home. As we face a growing affordability crisis, local leaders must look for responsible ways to reduce government spending and ensure tax dollars are used efficiently. County government should always be mindful of the financial pressures facing working families, seniors, and young people starting out. By focusing on careful budgeting, strong infrastructure, and policies that support economic stability, we can help keep Lee County an exceptional and affordable place to live, work, and raise a family.
- Supporting Workers and the Individual Lee County thrives because of the hardworking people who power our communities every day—from manufacturing and agriculture to healthcare, retail, and small businesses. Our workers are the backbone of our local economy, and they deserve leaders who recognize their value and support policies that allow them to succeed. At the same time, we must remember that every individual matters. No one person deserves more opportunity or respect than another. In Lee County, we believe in helping our neighbors and lifting our community up by lifting each other up. Regardless of race, creed, or background, every resident deserves to be treated with fairness, dignity, and respect.
- Supporting Women and the Right to Self-Protection Women are the foundation of our families and communities. We all have a mother, and many of us have sisters, daughters, aunts, and friends who deserve every opportunity and every right afforded to anyone in Lee County, in Illinois, and across this country. Supporting women means ensuring they are respected, empowered, and able to live their lives safely and freely. That also includes the right to protect themselves. Every individual deserves access to the tools necessary for self-defense against threats of violence or tyranny. Our rights must apply equally to everyone, because when rights are restricted for one group, it raises the question of whose rights could be limited next.
