Charlene Barlow was a judge for the Third Judicial District in Utah. She was appointed by Governor Gary Herbert in October 2010. She was retained in 2014 for a term that was set to expire on January 3, 2021. Barlow, however, announced in 2015 that she would retire from the court effective July 1, 2016.[1][2][3][4]

Barlow was retained to the Third District with 75.3 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [3] 

Performance evaluations

The Utah Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission, following a 2014 survey, recommended that Judge Barlow be Retained. The full report is available here.

Education

Barlow received her B.A. in English from Brigham Young University and her J.D. from Brigham Young University's Reuben Clark Law School.[2][1]

Career

Barlow served with the Utah Attorney General's Office as section chief of the Criminal Division. She has also served as a city attorney and a prosecutor in the Utah County Attorney's Office.[2]
