Charles M. Caldwell was a judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Southern District of Ohio. He was appointed on May 26, 1993. He was reappointed on May 26, 2007. From 2008 to 2014, Caldwell served as the chief judge.[1] He retired from the court on January 2, 2020.[2]

Education

Judge Caldwell graduated in 1976 from the University of Evansville with an undergraduate degree in Public Administration. In 1979, he graduated from Northwestern University School of Law where he earned his J.D.[1][3]

Career

Caldwell served as an assistant United States trustee in the Department of Justice United States Trustee Program for the Southern District of Ohio from March 7, 1988, to May 26, 1993. From 1986 to 1988, he served as a staff attorney in the Bankruptcy Division of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts.[1]
