The Chelan County Sales Tax Extension was a ballot measure that was on the August 18, 2009 ballot in Chelan County for county voters.

The measure was approved

  • Yes: 9,627 (65.27%)Approveda
  • No: 5,122 (34.73%)[1]

The ballot measure, supported and proposed by the area's 911 center, RiverCom, will increase the sales tax in the area in order to pay for new equipment used by the organization. RiverCom's proposal called for a .10 of a percent sales tax increase on residents.[2]
