Christopher Workman

Christopher Workman is a family court judge for the Ninth Family Circuit in West Virginia. He was first appointed to the court by Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin (D) on October 8, 2015, to replace Jason D. Harwood.[1]
Workman ran for a full term in the general election on May 10, 2016.[2]
Biography
Workman earned an undergraduate degree from Centre College and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.[1] Workman served as a law clerk for the Seventh Judicial Circuit from 2011 until his appointment in 2015. He previously worked as an attorney with Hawkins Parnell Thackston & Young, LLP from 2005 to 2011.[1]

West Virginia held general elections for county judicial offices on May 10, 2016. This date coincided with partisan primaries for statewide and federal offices. The 2016 election was the first nonpartisan election for the state's judicial seats since statehood in 1863. Learn more about this change here. Incumbent Christopher Workman defeated Donna Pratt in the general election for the West Virginia Family Court Circuit 9, Division 2 seat.[2]
