A City of Kensington parcel tax, Measure G ballot question was on the June 8, 2010 ballot for voters in the city of Kensington in Contra Costa County, where it was approved.

The proposed tax was initially $200 per single-family residential parcel. It did not have a sunset provision. The tax could be increased in future years based on the Consumer Price Index. The tax is somewhat lower and higher for other classes of property.

The question on the ballot:

MEASURE G: "Shall Kensington Police Protection and Community Services District Ordinance No. 2010-01, which imposes a Supplemental Special Tax for Kensington Police Department services in an initial annual amount of not to exceed $200.00 for single family residential parcels, subject to CPI, with amounts for properties in other use categories identified in the ordinance, commencing FY 2010/11, be approved and shall the District appropriations limit be increased by the amount of this voter-approved tax?"[1]
