A City of Liberty Sewage System Bond Issue ballot question was approved on the August 6, 2013, election ballot in Clay County, which is in Missouri.
This measure authorized the City of Liberty to increase its debt by up to $95 million through issuing sewage system revenue bonds in order to fund the construction of a new wastewater treatment plant and/or improvements to existing treatment facilities. These bonds are to be paid off through revenue from the city's sewer system fees.[1]

Question on the ballot:
“ | Shall the City of Liberty, Missouri, issue its sewerage system revenue bonds in an amount not to exceed $95,000,000 for the purpose of extending and improving its sewerage system, including without limitation the possible construction of a new wastewater treatment plant and / or capital improvements related to the treatment of wastewater provided by Kansas City, Missouri, the principal of and interest on said revenue bonds to be payable solely from the net revenues derived by the City from the operation of its sewerage system, including all future extensions and improvements thereto?[1][2] | ” |
