Cliff Brown was a 2018 nonpartisan special election candidate for District 77 of the Mississippi House of Representatives.
Brown was a 2015 Republican candidate for District 35 of the Mississippi State Senate.
Brown was a 2011 Republican candidate for District 35 of the Mississippi State Senate. He lost to incumbent Perry Lee in the primary election.
Biography
Brown, a retired member of the Mississippi Air National Guard, is a small business owner. He is originally from Star, Mississippi, and attended Mississippi State University.
Elections
2018
A special election for the position of Mississippi House of Representatives District 77 was called for July 10, 2018. A runoff election was held on July 31, 2018.
The seat became vacant in May 2018 after Andy Gipson (R) was appointed Mississippi Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce.[1]
Hayes Patrick and Price Wallace defeated Cliff Brown, Chris Purdum, and Cemper Scott in the special election.[2] Wallace defeated Patrick in the runoff election.[3]

Elections for the Mississippi State Senate took place in 2015. A primary election was held on August 4, 2015, and the general election was held on November 3, 2015. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was February 27, 2015.[4] No Democratic candidates filed for election. Chris Caughman defeated Cliff Brown and Lisa Stanley in the Republican primary. Caughman ran unchallenged in the District 35 general election.

Brown ran in the 2011 election for Mississippi Senate District 35. He lost to incumbent Perry Lee in the primary on August 2, 2011. No candidates ran in the Republican promary. The general election took place on November 8, 2011.[5]
