Constance L. Epstein is a judge of the Hartford District Superior Court in Connecticut.[1] She was nominated to the bench by former Governor Mary Jodi Rell in 2004. Her term expired on January 25, 2021.[2]

Education

She received her undergraduate degree from Illinois State University and her J.D. from the University of Connecticut in 1979.[3]

Career

After graduating from law school, Judge Epstein took a position with the Office of Legislative Research for the State of Connecticut, researching bills and candidates for the Senate Judiciary Committee. In 1982, she began working as an associate with the law firm of Howard, Kohn, Sprague & Fitzgerald. She became a partner at the firm in 1987 and was with the firm until 2004. In addition, she has served as a volunteer arbitrator and fact-finder for the judicial district courts of Hartford, Waterbury, New Britain and Middletown. Epstein has also served as a special master for the United States District Court.[3]
