Pinzon resides in Elizabeth, New Jersey. Pinzon's family emigrated to the United States from Colombia when she was a child, and she graduated from Jefferson High School in New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Television with a concentration in political science from Montclair State University. Pinzon has worked in a variety of fields, including education, journalism, and politics. She is employed as a corporate relations manager for United Way of Greater Union County in addition to serving as the Chair of the Elizabeth Housing Authority. At the time of her candidacy, Pinzon was studying for a Master's degree in Public Administration from Kean University.[1]

Pinzon ran as part of the Election Fund of RNP slate, which reported $47,138.16 in contributions and $44,858.33 in expenditures to the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission.[2]
