Crossett City Sales Tax Continuation (December 8)

There was a special election to determine the Crossett City Sales Tax Continuation on the December 8 ballot in Ashley County.

This measure passed

  • YES 167 Approveda
  • NO 71

Since this was approved, the tax is extended until March 2018, where it would need approval again to be extended.[1]

This tax expires next year, but elected officials wanted it on this early ballot so it does not get lost among the busy election next year. The tax is one and a half percent on all sales in the city and is used by the city to fund general operation costs.[2]
