Daina Vitolins is a judge for the 22nd Judicial District in Crook County, Oregon. Vitolins was appointed by Governor Kate Brown (D) on June 20, 2017, to succeed Judge Gary L. Williams, and took office on July 1, 2017.[1]
Biography
Vitolins received a bachelor's degree from the College of Idaho and a J.D. from Willamette University. From 2008 until her judicial appointment in 2017, she was the district attorney in Crook County. Her professional experience also includes working for the Oregon Department of Justice, as deputy district attorney in Polk County, and as staff attorney at Marion-Polk Legal Aid Service. She has also served as the president of the Oregon District Attorney’s Association.[1]
