Looker provided the following statement for the Pierce County voters' pamphlet:
| “ | My wife, Amy, and I have spent much of our fifteen-year marriage living in different parts of this great country, but we have always proudly considered Puyallup our home. We are deeply committed to this community and are very thankful for the Puyallup School District which has educated four generations of our family. Currently, Amy teaches at Kallas Junior High and coaches basketball for Rogers High School, while three of our four children are attending Meeker and Woodland elementaries and loving their experience.
Serving as a Puyallup School Board director the past four years has been an incredibly rewarding experience. In that time my fellow board members and I have had the honor of selecting a Superindentent whom has implemented a strategic direction for our district focused on the increased growth and achievement of every child we serve. We have made tremendous strides in our efforts to involve our community through more thorough and engaging communication methods, and we are continually finding ways to effectively manage our resources to enhance the educational opportunities for our students.[6] |
