Dave Hamrick is a Democratic political strategist and co-founder of RSH Campaigns, a media consulting firm in Washington, D.C.[1] On June 28, 2015, Hamrick became the campaign manager for Martin O'Malley's 2016 presidential campaign.[2] Hamrick previously worked in field operations for Al Gore's 2000 presidential campaign and as a grassroots organizer in New Hampshire and South Carolina for President Barack Obama's (D) 2008 primary campaign.[2] Originally from New York City, Hamrick now lives in Washington, D.C., where he is a partner at New Partners Strategies.[3]

Career

Dave Hamrick began his career in politics as a field organizer for the Michigan Democratic Party's coordinated campaign in 1996.[4] He continued work in the field with Al Gore's (D) 2000 presidential campaign, working in Iowa as a regional field director.[2]

Hamrick spent time as the director of the South Dakota coordinated campaign in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where he worked to register Native American voters in Sen. Tim Johnson's (D) 2002 re-election campaign.[5][6] For the 2004 cycle, Hamrick worked with the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, moving to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee for the 2006 cycle.[6]

In the 2008 campaign cycle, while a partner at the consulting firm Hildebrand Tewes, Hamrick worked on the primary and general election campaigns for then-Sen. Barack Obama. For the primary campaign, Hamrick was a grassroots organizer in New Hampshire and South Carolina; he became a senior advisor for the general election and focused on the states of Pennsylvania and Michigan.[2]

In March 2009, Hildebrand Tewes dissolved, and Hamrick moved with Paul Tewes to New Partners, Inc., a consulting firm based in Washington, D.C.[7]
