David A. Bottger
David A. Bottger was a judge of the Twenty-First Judicial District Court in Colorado. Bottger was appointed in 1987 and was most recently retained by voters in 2014.[1] Bottger was appointed chief judge of the court on October 1, 2005.[1] He retired from the court on August 12, 2016.[2]
Education
Bottger received his law degree from the Notre Dame University School of Law and was admitted to practice in 1976.[1]
Career
Bottger began his career as a law clerk for the Colorado Supreme Court. One year later, he entered private practice in Denver. He moved to Grand Junction in 1983 and later that year was appointed magistrate of Mesa County. He worked as a magistrate until his district court appointment in 1987.[1]

Bottger was retained to the Twenty-First Judicial District with 67.4 percent of the vote on November 4, 2014. [4]
