David Batu is born and raised American. He lives in Novi, a part of the 11th district with his wife. David has not attended Harvard, Yale or any Ivy league school but, instead, embraces his simple background. He is a blue-collar worker who wakes up every day to attend his job and provide for his family. David believes America is the best and most prosperous country in the world and proudly embraces the American way of life, its morals, and its values.
  • Protecting Our Familes
  • Decrease Cost of Education and Healthcare
  • Heal Our Nation and Uphold American Values
The current political rhetoric is more volatile than ever. It has become more and more apparent that both sides of the aisle are placing political affiliation and personal gain above their duty to serve the American people and the Constitution of the United States. I am passionate about upholding our Constitution and also core American values. I'm increasingly concerned about the direction our nation is headed and how Conservative Republicans are represented in the mainstream media. In 2016, it was circulated that Trump had 'the silent majority'. I'm passionate about creating a political environment where both sides can meet to discuss the issues openly and create real change for our country. I would also like to see a strong conservative movement grow among the youth of our nation to fight the misleading labels Republicans are often and inaccurately attached to,
Abe Lincoln. He served the country through a supremely turbulent time, fought for the basic rights of American citizens. Though we are obviously not experiencing the same oppression, presently there is an aura of political tension. We need leaders that will bring us through it. If District 11 chooses me to represent them, I will do everything in my power to fight for what is right.
Honesty and transparency. A genuine desire to serve the country. The ability to get along and work with people who disagree or don't have the same beliefs as you do.
Ronald Reagan once said, "The nine most terrifying words are 'I'm with the government and I'm here to help'". I would like to leave the legacy of a government that helps the people when necessary but does not try to overreach, take over, or encroach on personal liberties.
No, I do not believe prior experience is beneficial. The whole idea of the American system is that a common person can rise to serve his fellow Americans. That is what I am hoping to achieve in 2020. Running as one of the people, my allegiance is strictly for my community and the people I represent.
The challenge our nation faces is the gridlock in Washington, overcoming personal bias and party affiliation to come together to provide a better way of life for Americans. I also feel that the Socialist push is contrary to the American way of life and directly threatens the Constitution, which has made our country so great.
I support term limits for both the House and the Senate. Career politicians create a political system that enables underhanded and unreported favors for personal gain and power. This is a great disservice to the American people. Term limits would help combat the rise of these types of politicians.
