David E. Russell
David E. Russell was a federal bankruptcy court judge for the United States bankruptcy court, Eastern District of California. He was appointed to the court in 1986 and served a 14-year term, retiring on December 15, 2000.[1][2]
Education
Russell earned a Bachelor of Science and a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.[3]
Career
Before beginning his legal career, Russell worked as an accountant for Lybrand, Ross Brothers and Montgomery. After three years, he left the business to become a partner at the law firm of Russell, Humphreys and Estabrook. Years later, the firm became known as Russell, Jarvis, Estabrook and Dashiell, and Russell remained there until he was called to the bench.[4]
