Hayes ran for election to the Orphans Court of Baltimore County.
Primary: He was defeated in the Democratic primary on June 24, 2014, receiving 17.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Juliet Fisher, Arthur M. Frank, and incumbent Judge William Evans. Primary candidates competed for three seats.  [1][2]

Education

Hayes received an undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University and a J.D. from the University of Maryland.[3]

Career

Hayes is an attorney with Boyd, Benson & Hendrickson. He was admitted to the bar in 1973.[3]
