David Rimmer is a judge of the First Circuit Court in Santa Rosa County, Florida. He was appointed to this position by Governor Charlie Crist on December 1, 2009. The official investiture ceremony followed on February 19, 2010. He was elected in 2012 and his current term expires in January of 2019.[1][2][3][4]

Education

Rimmer received his undergraduate degree from the University of West Florida and his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law.[2]

Career

Rimmer worked as a Pensacola police officer from 1971 to 1972 and as a deputy for Escambia County from 1972 to 1979. He became an assistant state attorney for the First Judicial Circuit in 1982 and served in that capacity until his judicial appointment in 2009.[2]

2012 election

Rimmer was unopposed and automatically re-elected to the First Circuit Court following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[5][6]
