David W. Nelson
David W. Nelson is a former presiding district court judge for the Northwest Judicial District of North Dakota. Nelson was based out of Williston, in Williams County. He was first elected to the court in 1994.[1] Nelson retired from the court in December 2016.[2]
Education
Nelson received a B.A. in social work and a J.D. from the University of North Dakota in 1973 and 1981, respectively. He also attended the Wartburg Theological Seminary in 1974.[1]
