Derek Woodhouse
Derek Woodhouse was a judge for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County in California. He was appointed by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) in April 2005 to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge James H. Chang.[1] Woodhouse passed away on July 19, 2017.[2]
Biography
Woodhouse earned a B.S. from San Jose State University and a J.D. from Santa Clara University.[1]
His experience included service in the U.S. Army and work as a deputy district attorney for the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office and as an attorney in private practice.[1][2]

Woodhouse ran for re-election to the superior court in 2012. As an unopposed incumbent, his name did not appear on the ballot. After the primary election, Woodhouse was automatically re-elected.[3]
