Dorothy Mobley Jones
Dorothy Mobley Jones was a family court judge for the Fifth Judicial Circuit in South Carolina.[1] She was elected to the court by the South Carolina General Assembly in 2005 and retired on December 1, 2018.[2][3] She passed away on January 20, 2021.[4]
Education
Jones received her undergraduate degree in education from the University of South Carolina in 1974 and her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1978.[2]
Career
Before she joined the court, Jones practiced law with the firm of Yarborough, Fallon & Mobley in Florence, S.C. She also previously served as a law clerk for Rodney A. Peeples of the Second Judicial Circuit from 1978 to 1979.[2]
