Dwight H. Williams was a judge of the United States bankruptcy court, Middle District of Alabama. He joined in October 1999 and was appointed to the position of chief judge of the court on October 17, 2006. His term as chief judge ended on October 16, 2013.[1][2][3] Williams retired from the bench.[4]

Education

Williams received his Bachelor of Science from Auburn University in 1976. In 1990, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his J.D. from Faulkner University - Jones School of Law.[5]

Career

Williams began his career working for the City of Montgomery Finance Department from 1977 to 1978. From there, he moved on to work for the City of Montgomery Municipal Court from 1978 to 1981. Next, he joined the United States Bankruptcy Court of the Middle District of Alabama as Estate Administrator from 1981 to 1987. From 1987 to 1999, Williams worked for the Middle District of Alabama as United States Bankruptcy Administrator.[5]
