E. McRae Mathis
E. McRae Mathis was a judge for the Fourth Circuit Court in Florida. He was appointed to this position by former Governor Jeb Bush on March 9, 1999, to replace former Judge Bill Parsons. His last term was set to expire in January 2019.[1][2] However, on September 9, 2014, Mathis announced he would retire before the end of his last term on December 31, 2014.[3]
Education
Mathis received his undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. degree from the Memphis State University School of Law.[1]
Career
Prior to becoming a judge, Mathis worked for twenty-three years as a prosecutor for the State Attorney's Office.[1]
Elections
2012
Mathis was unopposed and automatically re-elected to the Fourth Circuit Court following the primary election on August 14, 2012.[4][5]
