Elizabeth Fox, known to friends and neighbors as Eli (eh-LEE), is a Michigander through and through. She comes from both European settler immigrant grandparents, and also Native American grandparents of Ojibwe and Métis traditions. A descendant of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians, she was born and raised in the lower peninsula on the west Michigan lakeshore. As a servant leader, Eli prioritizes city business with gratitude, accountability, and action. Key issues include increasing local affordable housing, continued transportation developments for drivers and non-drivers​, and honoring the gifts of our natural environment.
