Eugene Oliver, Jr. is a Deputy Administrative Judge and acting justice of the Bronx County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 12th Judicial District of New York. He has been an acting justice on this court since 1994 and was appointed Deputy Administrative Judge in 2004.[1][2]

Education

Oliver received his B.A. degree from Middlebury College in 1970 and his J.D. degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1977.[1]

Career

Oliver began his career in 1977 as an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County. In 1988, he became an Executive District Attorney. He worked in this position until 1990, when he was appointed judge of the New York City Criminal Court. He left that position in 1994 and became an Acting Supreme Court Justice. He has also served as Supervising Judge for the NYC Criminal Court for New York County (1996-2000) and for Bronx County (2000-2004). He was appointed Deputy Administrative Judge for the Bronx County Supreme Court Criminal Division in 2004.[1]
