Fairfield City School District is located in southwestern Ohio in Butler County. The county seat is Hamilton. According the United States Census Bureau, the county was home to 374,158 residents in 2014.[4] Fairfield City School District was the 19th-largest school district in Ohio, serving 9,703 students during the 2012-2013 school year.[5]

Demographics

Butler County outperformed the rest of Ohio in terms of higher education achievement in 2013. The United States Census Bureau found that 27.4 percent of county residents aged 25 years and older had attained a bachelor's degree, compared to 25.2 percent of state residents. The median household income in the county was $56,610, compared to $48,308 for the state. The poverty rate for the county was 13.6 percent, compared to 15.8 percent for the entire state.[4]
