Biography
Berding is the owner of Midwest Prescription Packaging. He has served as a youth sports coach and volunteered with the district's Diversity Committee. Berding and his wife, Susan, have four children and one grandchild who have attended district schools.[1]

Four of five seats on the Fairfield City School District Board of Education in Ohio were up for at-large general election on November 7, 2017. One of these seats was up for special election to complete an unexpired term.[2] All four incumbents filed to retain their seats, including appointed member Carrie O'Neal, who won an unopposed election for the two-year seat. At-large incumbents Dan Hare, Michael Berding, and Brian Begley all won their re-election bids unopposed.[3]
