Fernando Camacho
Fernando Camacho was an acting justice of the Queens County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 11th Judicial District of New York. He was appointed to this position in 2008. He was also appointed to the New York Court of Claims that year.[1][2]
Education
Camacho received his B.A. degree from Columbia College in 1982 and his J.D. degree from the Fordham University School of Law in 1985.[1]
Career
Camacho began his career in 1985 as an Assistant Manhattan District Attorney. Ten years later, in 1995, he became an attorney in private practice. He was then appointed to the New York City Criminal Court of Kings County in 1997. He served in this position until 2002, when he was appointed to the Queens County Criminal Court. In 2008, he was appointed judge of the New York Court of Claims and acting justice of the Queens County Supreme Court. From 2009 to 2013, he served as the Administrative Judge for Criminal Matters in the 11th Judicial District.[1]
