A Fire District 12 Tax Levy proposition was overwhelmingly approved on the April 23, 2013, election ballot in Grays Harbor County, which is in Washington.
This measure authorized the Grays Harbor Fire Protection District No. 12 to impose a property tax levy at a rate of $0.50 per $1,000 of assessed valuation for six years in order to fund Emergency Medical Services.
This measure only requires a majority vote for approval.[1]

Language on the ballot:
“ | Shall Grays Harbor County Fire Protection District No. 12 be authorized to levy a regular property tax in the sum of $.50 (maximum) per $1,000 assessed valuation each year for six consecutive years beginning in 2014 for the provision of Emergency Medical Services all as provided in Grays Harbor County Fire Protection District No. 12 Resolution No. 13-1 and the Laws of the State of Washington, RCW 84.52.069?[1][2] | ” |
