A Fox Valley Technical College Bond Measure was on the April 3, 2012 ballot in the Fox Valley college area which is in Calumet, Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago Counties.
This measure was approved
- YES 58,231
- NO 30,911[1]
This measure sought to issue a bond in the amount $66.5 million in order to build a new expansion for the college which would allow for more programs and additional classes to be held at the college. Officials noted that this will be the first expansion in 14 years and will allow the school to expand its programs and support the additional students who attend.[2] The main focus of the new additional facilities will be for police and forensic studies. The proposed training center will also include and outdoor training facility. Police officers in the area were enthusiastic about this new facility as it would help train new officers and ensure quality education with full range of skills accessible for students.[3]
