A vote about whether to recall Fred Kiogima from his position as Tribal Chairperson and recall Deb De Leon from her position as Vice Chairperson of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians took place on November 17, 2014. Both Fred Kiogima and Deb De Leon were recalled.[1]
Regina Gasco-Bentley, the leader of the tribe's nine-person tribal council, replaced Fred Kiogima as tribal chairperson.
According to Rose Smalley, who helped organize the recall campaign, Kiogima and De Leon's budgeting decisions and leadership styles were unpopular.

But they did not come in with my expectations of what they were going to do." She stated that "unpopular budgeting choices" was the main reason for the recall against Kiogima and De Leon.[3]
