G. Michael Brown is a political consultant from Texas. In 2016, he was the national political director for Ben Carson's 2016 presidential campaign.[1][2] Brown previously worked as chief of staff for Texas State Rep. Jason Isaac and as campaign director for Brian Munzlinger's Missouri State Senate campaign in 2010.[3][4] Outside of politics, Brown has worked in market development for Chesapeake Energy and as the CEO of the Columbia (Mo.) Board of Realtors.[4][5]
Career
During the 2006 election cycle, Brown worked for the Missouri Republican Party as Election Day operations manager assigned "to prevent vote fraud, provide ballot security, and maintain voter integrity in over 1000 precincts throughout Missouri."[6]
Brown's career in Washington, D.C. politics began as press secretary for the International Trade Administration during the final months of George W. Bush's second term as president.[4] In 2009, Brown moved to Columbia, Missouri and worked on a campaign for Amendment 3, which changed the Missouri Constitution to prohibit taxes on real estate transactions, as well as the Munzlinger campaign.[4]
After working in the private sector at the Columbia Board of Realtors and Chesapeake Energy, Brown became chief of staff to Texas State Rep. Jason Isaac (R).[3]

Brown was the national political director for Ben Carson's 2016 presidential campaign.[1] On March 2, 2016, after receiving the lowest total votes during the elections on Super Tuesday, Carson announced he saw no "political path forward" for his presidential campaign.[7] On March 4, Carson announced that he had joined the nonprofit organization My Faith Votes as national chairman.[8] He officially suspended his campaign the same day.[9]
