Garry R. Sampson
Garry R. Sampson is a former Utah Fourth Judicial District judge for Utah County, Utah for the Lehi City Justice Court.[1] He was first appointed to this position in May of 2004.[2] Sampson retired from the court on May 31, 2011.[3]

Reprimand
On December 17, 2009 Judge Sampson was reprimanded by the Utah Supreme Court for bringing a handgun to the courthouse. On March 30, 2009 Sampson and a bailiff were messing around in the courtroom - she was threatening to toss water on him, and he pulled out his handgun and pointed it at bailiff in a "joking manner". The Utah Judicial Conduct Commission recommended an agreement wherein Sampson be reprimanded and agree to never bring a gun to the courtroom again, which the Supreme Court and Judge Sampson signed off on.[4][5]
Education
Sampson attended Utah Valley State College, Brigham Young University, and The University of Phoenix. He earned his bachelor's in Business Administration and minored in Education. He worked as an Instructional Designer for computer based educational technology and as an adjunct faculty member for UVSC. He then served as Court Administrator. Sampson was appointed to the Lehi City Justice Court in May of 2004 and served until May 31, 2011.[2]
