George M. Heymann
George M. Heymann was a judge for the New York City Housing Court of Kings County, New York. He was appointed to this position on April 1, 1991. His most recent term expired in 2011.[1][2]
Education
Heymann received his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1971 and his J.D. degree from the New York Law School in 1974.[1]
Career
Heymann began his career in 1975 as Counsel for the New York State Association for Retarded Children. He then worked as an Assistant Queens County District Attorney from 1978 to 1980. In 1980 and 1981, he served as Counsel and Administrative Law Judge for the New York City Department of Transportation. He then worked as a principal law clerk for the Queens County Supreme Court until he was appointed a judge of the Housing Court in 1991.[1]
