2012 election
Woods ran for a seat on the Criminal District Court in Orleans Parish. He was defeated by Tracey Flemings-Davillier in the election on November 6, receiving 22.1 percent of the vote.[1][2]

Education
Woods received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southwestern University and his J.D. from Southern University School of Law.[3]
Career
Woods has served as an Assistant District Attorney and an attorney in private practice.[3]
2011 election
Woods was defeated by Franz Zibilich in the October 22 election, receiving only 22.14 percent of the vote.[4][5]
